The Empire Landmark Hotel offers amazing views and a convenient location, but it's clear the hotel is in need of some serious updates. While the service was friendly and quick, my room left a lot to be desired—a bit outdated with uncomfortable beds and questionable cleanliness.

Rooms
5.0
I found the room quite dated and not as comfortable as I'd hoped. The two double beds were hard, and I felt the need to grab a quilt from the other bed just to soften the mattress. The bathroom was tiny, and there was a lot of hallway light seeping in around my door.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for places to visit nearby. However, the housekeeping staff didn't seem too pleased when I asked for assistance.
Location
8.0
The location is perfect for exploring downtown Vancouver and is walkable to many attractions. However, I found it a bit of a trek to some places, which could be a downside.
Dining
6.0
I had dinner at Cloud 9, the revolving restaurant on the 42nd floor. While the portions were enormous, I found the breakfast options a bit sad for the price, especially with the questionable quality of the food.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had a few basic amenities, like fast elevators and laundry facilities, but the Wi-Fi being charged per device was unexpected and frustrating. I had a hard time getting any cold water from the bathroom taps too.

5.0/10

I stayed at The Empire Landmark Hotel for three nights and found it to be a good value for the price. The location is a big win, being close to restaurants and shopping, but the rooms are definitely in need of an update. While the staff were accommodating, the overall condition of the hotel, including some cleanliness issues, left something to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but showed noticeable signs of wear and tear. The balcony was not very inviting, and some fixtures needed urgent attention. It was smaller compared to other hotels for a similar price.
Service
6.0
Check-in and check-out were quick, and the staff were generally helpful. However, I felt their demeanor could have been warmer, especially during busier times.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, making it easy for me to explore the area. I appreciated having a bus stop right outside and the close proximity to Stanley Park.
Dining
5.0
I tried the breakfast buffet on the top floor. While the view was great, the food didn’t justify the high price.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt a bit dated and not well-maintained. The common areas could use a thorough cleaning and some cosmetic updates.

5.0/10

My stay at The Empire Landmark Hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, with easy access to shops and restaurants, but the room itself left much to be desired due to its outdated condition. While the views from the 26th floor were stunning, the facilities and dining experience weren't up to par.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite small and in need of updating. The old bathrooms were particularly disappointing, with showers that sprayed water unpredictably. Despite these issues, the beds were comfortable and the views were great.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and courteous but didn't go above and beyond to enhance my experience. I appreciated their help when I requested extra pillows and a kettle, but overall, the service felt average.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was excellent, allowing me to easily walk to many nearby restaurants, shops, and the waterfront in just ten minutes. It truly made exploring Vancouver convenient.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience at the rotating rooftop restaurant was disappointing. The food was overpriced and not very healthy, which was a letdown given the beautiful views.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities felt very dated, with little effort put into maintaining or updating them. The lobby had uncomfortable seating and was very noisy, making it hard to enjoy the free WiFi.

My stay at The Empire Landmark Hotel was enjoyable due to its great location and decent accommodations, but the service could use some improvement. The rooms were clean and offered great views of Stanley Park and English Bay, though I faced some issues with water pressure in the shower. The dining options were a bit underwhelming, overshadowed by the bustling atmosphere outside.

Rooms
8.0
My room on the 36th floor was clean and comfortable, with fantastic views over English Bay and Grouse Mountain. I highly recommend requesting a high-level floor for the best experience.
Service
6.0
While most of the staff were friendly, I did encounter a few who seemed grumpy and less helpful. It felt like service was hit or miss, but I managed to get assistance when I needed it.
Location
9.0
The location of the hotel is fantastic! It's right on Robson Street and just a short walk to Stanley Park. I loved being close to shops and restaurants, making my exploration of the city super convenient.
Dining
5.0
I thought the dining options, especially at the rooftop restaurant, were just okay and not worth the price. The breakfast buffet could use more variety and warmth, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were decent overall, but there was a notable issue with water pressure in the shower. I also appreciated having parking available, even if it came with a cost.

I enjoyed a decent stay at the hotel, especially for the amazing views and excellent location close to Stanley Park. However, the service at the restaurant left much to be desired, which impacted my overall experience. While the hotel had its charm, I may consider other options next time.

Rooms
7.0
I found my room to be nice and clean, although a bit on the smaller side. The view from the 34th floor overlooking Stanley Park was truly stunning. It felt smoke-free and up to a decent standard of cleanliness.
Service
5.0
While the hotel staff were mostly professional and attentive to my needs, the experience at the restaurant, Cloud 9, was disappointing. The staff there were rude and dismissive, which is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.
Location
9.0
The location of the hotel is fantastic! It is within walking distance to many attractions, including Stanley Park and a variety of restaurants. I loved the easy access to the marina and downtown.
Dining
5.0
Dining at Cloud 9 was underwhelming, especially given the prices. I didn't find the food worth the cost, and the service soured the experience.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has basic amenities, but they are getting a bit old. Amenities like the large flat-screen TV were nice, but the slow tub drain and minor balcony repairs indicated the need for upgrades.
